FAQs

How long does a candle pouring last?

A custom candle pouring lasts anywhere from 25-45 minutes! We welcome reservations and walk-ins. You will pour a candle using our DIY Menu with the support of our team. A traditional workshop, lasting a full hour, can be experienced at our Flagship Store located within our Berry Hill location in Nashville, TN.

What does the cost include?

The cost of a reservation includes a seat at the table and everything you need to make your custom candle!

What is your cancellation policy?

We get it, life happens. If you request a cancellation at least 24 hours before the time of your pouring, we'll issue you a refund! Please use our self-service portal to request a cancellation.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Definitely! We can provide glassware and there is a corking fee of $8 per 6-pack or bottle of wine. Seltzers, beer, and wine only. BYOB is not permitted at our Denver or Berry Hill location (beer, wine, and select seltzers are available for sale on-site at our Berry Hill location).

Can I bring food?

We don't allow outside food in our public workshops.

Can I have a private event?

Celebrations are always welcome at Paddywax Candle Bar! You can learn more about private events here!

Do you offer group discounts?

Yes! We offer 10% off for reservations of 10 or more seats. Just use code GROUP10 at checkout!

Are reservations required or do you accept walk-ins?

While reservations are not required, we highly recommend them! Each location has set pouring times with a limited number of seats.

What if someone in my party doesn't want to pour a candle?

Our candle pouring reservations are for one seat. You're more than welcome to share the pouring process with a partner, but please note they may not have a seat if the pouring is full! In order to experience Paddywax Candle Bar in the best way possible, we recommend reserving a seat for each guest attending.

What is your return policy?

For our candle pouring workshops, we require cancellation at least 24 hours before your scheduled class to receive a full refund. Please contact us through the self-service portal to request a cancellation.  We accept returns on undamaged merchandise with proof of purchase up to 90 days after purchase. Our Collaborative Workshops are not eligible for refunds.

What is the age requirement to pour a candle?

Because our candle pouring workshops include handling hot wax and fragrance oils, children must be 5 years or older to participate.  Anyone under 18 must have a legal guardian sign their waiver. A legal guardian does not have to be present, but they must have at least one chaperone.

Can I mix fragrances or bring my own vessel?

Our fragrances and vessels have to go through safety testing, so we can't allow you to mix fragrances or bring your own vessel. Don't worry, we have over 25 fragrances and vessels to choose from!

How can I change my reservation?

If you need to make any changes to your reservation (date, time, number of seats, etc.), please contact us through the self-service portal and we'll take care of you!

Can I take my candle home with me after pouring?

Our candles require three hours to cure after pouring. You can pick it up later that day (during open business hours) or we can ship your candle to you for $12! (Continental US Only)

Will you hold my candle until I can pick it up?

Yes! We can hold your candle until you can pick it up, up to 30 days. After 30 days, we donate remaining candles to a local charity! If you can't pick it up within 30 days, we're happy to ship it to you for $12! Just contact us through the self-service portal to begin this process.

Can I buy empty vessels or fragrance oils from you?

Empty vessels can be purchased at any of our locations for $18.00 each. We do not sell fragrance oils at this time.

My candle arrived broken, what should I do?

Oh no! We're more than happy to repour your candle and ship it again! Just contact us through the self-service portal and we'll take care of you.

If we have multiple people in our group, can we pay separately?

The best solution would be to pay with one form of payment in order to ensure your entire party is reserved.  If you would like to pay separately, you will need to book individually.

CANDLE CARE

How do I keep my candle from tunneling?

1. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch each time before burning. Long or crooked wicks can cause uneven burning.

2. Let the wax pool completely across each time you light it.

3. We recommend you don't burn longer than 4-5 hours at a time. This will prevent excessive heat build up.

4. Keep your candle within sight! Try not to move your candle unless the wax is completely dry.

How do I prepare my candle to repurpose or refill?

1.Stop burning your candle when there is still 1/4 inch of wax left.

2. Place your vessel in the freezer overnight or until frozen.

3. Remove candle from freezer and use a dull knife such as a butter knife to crack the wax.

4. Pop out wax pieces and remove wicks (you may need to continue to use the dull knife for this).

5. Wash your vessel with soap and water and you are ready to go!

Can I refill a candle from a past visit?

For any Paddywax vessel - YES! We love when people give their candles a second life. Just drop your empty and cleaned vessel off at any of our locations, and our team will repour it for you! If there is no location near you, consider purchasing an AT-HOME REFILL KIT! These kits can be purchased with or without tools. If you have a Paddywax vessel you would like refill that you do not see on our site, please chat us and ask if there is an online refill kit that will work for your specific vessel!
